…and that’s when I heard the angels singing…

We finally got a new dishwasher today. After two months without one. Apparently Amana, while not much for the longevity of appliances, writes a dang good warranty, so the new unit arrived in our home for free (accompanied by celestial vocalizations).

I know that in the larger world view, having or not having a dishwasher is incredibly trivial. And yet, I invite you to join in the rejoicing.

So what was your most recent good-yet-possibly-trivial news?

I just want to let you know that I totally feel your pain in not having a dishwasher. I am pretty jealous you have one now :). In this rental Jeremy and I are in, we don’t have one…so we just end up cooking less, because we actually have to clean up the mess we make. Pretty pathetic, I know.

If I didn’t have a DW we would eat off paper plates every meal. I would find a way to cook in disposable pans too. Or not cook. Yeah..I like not cooking.

For me, when R said, “ok we’ll go to Carlos’s” just 4 short days after I had already had chips and salsa there last Sunday with a GOOD friend, that’s when those same angels sang to me. They were singing Los Kookaracha.

I wonder if they look at the plight of the whole suffering world and think, How did we pull this duty???

Yay!!! I haven’t had a dishwasher in 2 1/2 years – I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! I’m living vicariously through your non-dish washing hands right now…Aaahhhh! ;)
